Acropoli di Satricum

Satricum, was an ancient town of Latium vetus, situated on the right bank of the Astura River approximately 60 km (37 mi) southeast of Rome. It lay in a low-lying region south of the Alban Hills, at the northwestern edge of the Pontine Marshes, and was directly accessible from Rome by a road running roughly parallel to the Via Appia.
